Burton Harvey is a prolific indie songwriter whose themes range from the cosmic to the comic, in styles ranging from country to jazz to rock. A singer and multi-instrumentalist, he arranges and records original material in his private studio to his exacting standards, using multitracking to perform all parts himself.

Along with his brother, Stephen Harvey, Burton inherits a musical legacy from The Harvey Family Singers, a Southern gospel group founded by their great-grandfather that toured the Southeast U.S. and appeared on stages, radio, and television for over 100 years. Today, Burton and Stephen (along with their spiritual brother, Kyle Kakac) deliver secular bluegrass and Americana music as The Harveys.

Growing up in Nashville, Burton appeared at open mic nights, The Exit In, and The Bluebird Cafe, and also busked on Broadway back when the streets were still quiet enough for this to be feasible. Burton will be eternally grateful for the way Music has enriched his life, and for the opportunity to share it with others.
